Each goal represents a pillar of our commitment to creating sustainable, positive change across diverse sectors and communities.
Create our MacRobert Centre
A central hub for learning, collaboration, and exploration.
Deliver 300 training opportunities
Our growing futures programme will provide a range of training and work experience placements on the MacRobert Estate.
Provide £5M of partnership grant funding
Through our new ‘Small but Mighty’ and ‘Big Impact’ partnership funding models.
Establish our £2M MacRobert Military Programme
We will honour our heritage, whilst also engaging with and supporting the Armed Forces Community in new ways.
Support the creation of 10 community-led gardens
Inspire and reconnect people to the roots of rural learning and shared values, based in the North East of Scotland.
Allocate a £1M Howe O’Cromar fund
We will give our local community the power to shape what’s important to them.
50 new and affordable homes
We will support the delivery of high-quality, affordable homes in the local area.
Achieve Earth Check Gold level certification
Achieving this target will place us at the forefront of environmental stewardship.
Be a ‘Times 100 Best Workplace’
This will create a positive, inclusive culture where people feel valued and want to stay and contribute to the Trust’s purpose.
Deliver our Destination Douneside Masterplan
We will create a masterplan to shape Douneside House’s future, building on its success for the years ahead.

Our 10 Goals for 10 Years set a clear direction for the next decade and are ambitious, grounded, and true to the values that have shaped The MacRobert Trust for more than seventy years. They aren’t just targets; they’re a commitment to extend our impact, deepen our reach, and build something lasting. To deliver them effectively, it will require collaboration and engagement with a wide range of stakeholders.

As part of our commitment to collaboration, we will be undertaking goal specific consultation and stakeholder engagement sessions, beginning in early 2026.
